Method Laundry Soap

I love anything Method makes. Soap, cleaning products and laundry supplies. But their packaging for the laundry soap is really dumb. It leaks over the edge of the rim and makes the bottle sticky. Dirty, dirty Method.

Here is another complaint about the pretty, but impractical, Method packaging.

Pilsbury Packaging

I'm sure we have all had the lovely experience of trying to open one of these Pilsbury packages. Just knock it against the counter and it pops open. Just knock it against the counter and it pops open. Just knock it...GAAAHHHH! FRAGA! BAHHH!

FedEx Package

I had to wrestle furiously and use a pair of scissors with this FedEx box. I was going to use my teeth, but then it would have gotten ugly.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo

Not only is the outer packaging difficult to open, but whenever you need to push a pills through those little holes in the plastic dispenser (and I have heard this from other women) the pills sometimes hit the edge and shatter into dust. So much for the 99.9% efficiency rate.

Bad Tuna

Chicken of the Sea
has already received a bad rap from Jessica Simpson, but their cans should get an even worse rap. Why, when I squeeze the top of the can to de-juice the tuna, does the tuna come out too? It makes for watery tuna and some cut fingertips.

(sorry for the bad photo)

Far East is too far

I love Far East couscous, but their flavor packets are a bitch to open. Shouldn't they tear open? Why should you have to fish around for a knife or a pair of scissors to get to some dehydrated chicken broth and carrots?

More Damn Clamshells!

Another disatrous clamshell from Sonicare.

Achin' Bacon

Why is most bacon packaging designed as if you are going to eat the entire rasher at once? There is no closure and it's difficult to get the plastic bag back into the cardboard sleeve. Not to mention pulling out the individual stips is a mess. Rasher...that's a great word.

Wasa Crackers

Very good crackers, very good company, very bad packaging. None of their paper "boxes" can be closed. Bad Wasa, bad.

Go Fish!

This "easy to open" envelope came from Snapfish. I had to practically wrestle my photos out of it.

We all love to wear our packaging

From Nelly and Andres comes a disastrous form of shipping packaging from Amazon.com. I think most of us are all for recycled and environmentally friendly packaging, but this shipping envelope, filled with recycled newspaper as padding, ripped open and flew all over. This has happened to me, some of the fibers flying up my nose. We can be kind to the earth by recycling newspapers, but then we use unnecessary electricity running our vacuum to clean up the mess.

Try again Trident!

From Heather comes some more bad gum packaging. The point is for the gum to stay in the packaging, correct? Once you open the cardboard package, the whole thing falls off and you have to dig your fingernails into the aluminum foil, which causes the rest of it to fall apart. Heather has a special pocket in her purse for loose gum since the packaging is BAD!

Any Kind of #$%^&*! Clamshell!

Clamshell packaging takes the top prize for the worst of the bad packaging. This Greatland headlamp from Target was no exception. Not to mention, the headlamp didn't work! Son of a #$%%&!

TD Jaipur Veggies

I love Trader Joe's brand foods, but why are those easy-to-open box tops not so easy-to-open? Any time I have to use my fingernails to dig into a box I growl...and so does my stomach.

Orowheat Rye Breads

The rye breads from Orowheat are great, but the packaging is not. Why do they not have any closures? Why should I have to wrap up my bread with a rubber band? Why should I have to throw a quarter of it to the birds because it goes prematurely dry on me? All these questions and more when I buy the next bad packaged item.

Orbit Gum Packaging

From a friend comes the "Difficult to open with one hand while driving" packaging of Orbit Gum. The request is for a simple tab to be used to open the plastic wrapping around the box. I have also noticed with this packaging that once the cardboard box is opened, the flap will not stay closed and the pieces of gum fall out into the bottom of your purse. Not so "Fabulous!"
